Copy clinic

*NEW OFFER: drop-in word chats to boost your writing

Staring at a blank page? Can’t get that one paragraph just right? Re-written too many times and need a bit of fresh feedback?

Book a one-hour copy clinic session and get a second brain on it.

I can help you capture ideas for your messaging, or juggle a tricky set of tracked stakeholder changes – whatever you need.

Q: How does it work, and what should I bring?

A: You can bring your writing along, or an extract – it’ll need to be 1,000 words or less**. Or, if getting started is what you need help with, just bring your brief and a bit of background on your audience if you can.

During the hour, you’ll introduce the task and we’ll look through your copy or spark some ideas together, looking at possible solutions to anything you’re trying to resolve.

That’s it really. But the session can be tailored to what you need, so if you’re interested but not sure how it’ll work for you, do get in touch.

*As copy clinic is a new way of working for me, I’m offering a few free sessions where I can fit them in my diary. I may ask you for some feedback on the format and process to help me develop it, so it’s as useful as possible for people.

**We won’t make much useful progress on anything longer in an hour, so we can work on a longer piece, but just bring the opening or key 1,000 words to start. We can then talk about further follow-up sessions, longer sessions – or commissioned editing work – as you think might be helpful.
